A little intro to the movie :

Balthazar Blake (NICOLAS CAGE) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (ALFRED MOLINA). Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (JAY BARUCHEL), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It’ll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE. Here comes the interesting part !

If i were a socerer's apprentice, what would i use my powers for ?

For people who know me really well might get this question right. But i shall let all of you know, i would definitely wish to have mindreading skills !

Your question will probably be WHY ?!

1. A close friend's birthday, i don't claim to know him/her that well to know what to get them immediately ! And usually when your friend asks you "What do you want for your birthday ?" Most answers are "Idk" when actually they have tons of stuff they want running through their mind. So with mindreading skills, i'll know what to get them, that they'll use it instead of throwing it aside ! Aha smart right !
   
   
2. For people with crushes, i'm sure you'd like to know what's going through your crush's mind, and with the ability to read minds, what's so tough about getting a boyfriend who loves you !
   
   
3. There are also people who are attached, and have burning questions to ask, but afraid your other half might not tell the truth fearing you'd be angry. (Most common question is "Do you think i'm ugly/fat/not your type) Well, you'd get your answer ^^
   
   
4. Sometimes, you really wonder what's people's first impression of you, or like what's their opinions of this top. Idk if anyone does, but i do ! So this will benefit me ! Hohohohoho !
   
   
5. Lastly, i'll know if people are saying one thing and thinking another !!

Anyways, that's all i can think of ! Hahahah ! Most people would want this for reason 2 ! I know it ! Muahahahah ! ^^
